Just was wondering what you all thought about something. The other day I was making some grog in a pit furnace, once I was finished I threw some scraps of cast
iron in for fun. Some of it melted so I spark tested pieces of it here and there, some of it was about 1.0 C, or a little more, I added it to my orishigane
pile, other pieces remained cast iron, the rest sparked somewere in between. Could this in &quot;between stuff &quot; be around the carbon content of wootz?... ]]></description>

in there some where. Cable is improved plow share logging cable. Guard if steel. Handle cocobalo and antle crown the finish paste wax. Was going for a boot
knife or a bird and trout knife.

			<description><![CDATA[ After a few failures I was finally able to get a decent billet of Campo Del Cialo shavings and 1095 powder to weld.

Since the campo assays show it to average 5.5-6% nickel I used a 2:1 ratio to dilute the nickel down to the 1.5 area.  That is the amount of nickel that L6 and
15n20 has.  Then I added 1% by weight of very finely ground charcoal to perc up the C content.

			<description><![CDATA[ I came across a spring from an old victrola talking machine, its just the right size to stack up for a billet of patternweld... sparks nice and hardens well in

Here is where the blade is now, 21 layer stack of victrola spring and nickel foil. Folded to 63 layers and a ladder type pattern ground in before forging to
shape.
